UMCES Selects 115 West Street for New Headquarters in Downtown Annapolis
Annapolis, Maryland — June 9, 2025 — Thomas Park is pleased to announce the successful lease of 115 West Street to the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES), which will relocate its administrative headquarters to this premier downtown Annapolis property.
This full-circle project reflects the strength of Thomas Park’s integrated platform—combining strategic leasing with tailored interior construction to support UMCES’s specialized operational needs.
UMCES’s move to Annapolis was recently highlighted in the Baltimore Business Journal, which noted the institution’s goal of bringing its leadership team closer to state policymakers and fellow environmental stakeholders based in the capital. The organization will relocate from Cambridge, Maryland, to occupy newly renovated space at 115 West Street this summer.

“This project is a great example of what we do best—combining real estate expertise with construction execution to help mission-driven organizations thrive in the right environment,” said EJ Rumpke, CEO of Thomas Park. “We’re proud to support UMCES as they establish their new presence in the heart of Annapolis.”
Thomas Park’s construction team is currently completing a custom build-out designed to foster collaboration and accommodate UMCES’s unique programmatic needs. A follow-up project feature and photo series will be shared upon completion.
