Commercial Leasing Representative
Desired Skills and Experience Include:
-3-5 years’ experience commercial real estate leasing representative
-Experience leasing multi-story office buildings and/or medical office buildings strongly preferred
-Experience working in-house for an owner-operator preferred, along with managing third-party brokers
-Leasing experience in multiple states preferred
-Excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and a deadline focus
-Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
-The ability to travel periodically and occasionally overnight is required
-Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and teamwork
-Excellent negotiation, sales, and marketing skills
Your role will include, but not be limited to:
-Complete knowledge of TPI’s portfolio, leasing requirements, and broker relationships of all types
-Develop comprehensive market knowledge in areas where TPI owns properties
-Work with the Acquisitions team to provide property feedback and leasing assumptions
-Work closely with third-party brokers to ensure properties are well marketed and represented
-Underwrite and qualify tenant prospects
-Prepare and negotiate detailed letters of intent
-Work on lease renewals, improving the owner’s position in each negotiation
-Work with outside counsel to assist with lease negotiations as necessary
-Take complete ownership of the leasing function within the company, along with owning each lease deal
-Develop a process for internal Leasing Meetings, and lead them with an in-house team on a regular basis
-Develop expertise in medical office buildings, and also healthcare in general
-Work closely with Asset Management to understand capital availability for lease-related capital costs
-Work closely with the Construction Department to determine scope and pricing of TI and LL work
-Ensure smooth communication and handoffs to Asset Management and Property Management
